Email to purchasing@co.tom-green.tx.us The project consists of culvert replacement, road repair, and associated work located on Heinze Road, Tom Green County, approximately 0.7 miles from the intersection of Klattenhoff Rd and Heinze Rd. The requested scope of services includes: - Fence removal and replacement: Remove existing fence within project limits, replace post-construction in equal or better condition, provide temporary fencing to securely contain livestock, and reconstruct the water gap on the downstream side to match pre-project condition and function. - Culvert replacement: Remove existing culvert and install a new corrugated metal pipe (CMP), 4 feet in diameter and 50 feet long. - Wingwall construction: Build a parallel downstream wingwall (approximately 12-14 feet tall, 60 feet long, likely cast-in-place concrete, meeting structural and hydraulic requirements), and a flared style upstream wingwall. - Rip rap installation: Place rock rip rap from the roadway to each wingwall and in other erosion-prone locations as determined during construction. - Roadway patching: Patch the roadway with matching material, ensuring smooth ride quality and proper drainage. - Cleanup and disposal: Remove old culvert, debris, and waste materials, and ensure the jobsite is clean and restored to acceptable condition. - Traffic control and road closure: Full road closure is allowed with proper signage and barricades compliant with TxDOT TMUTCD and Barricade and Construction (BC) Standards; detour routing via Lee Road with signage at specified intersections. - Utility coordination: Call 811 for utility locates, perform and document dig test prior to excavation, coordinate with affected utilities if relocation or support is required. - Construction standards: All work must conform to current TxDOT standards for materials and workmanship. - Landowner notification: Contractor must notify all affected landowners a minimum of 14 calendar days prior to the start of any construction activities.
