Site work for a water / sewer project in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
**As of December 2, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work will include all associated excavation, installation of piping and fittings, bedding and backfill, testing, restoration, and any related appurtenances required for a complete and operational system. The work will include the disconnection and reconnection of an existing 2 inch water line along Clements Street. The intent of this project is to provide reliable municipal water service to the new development while conforming to municipal design standards and Nova Scotia Environment requirements. Watermain Extension Outline of 250mm (8 inch) water main extension: Starting from the existing terminus of the 300mm water main on Clements Street, near Earls Lane and 182 Clements Street, including an adapter from 300mm to 250mm, the disconnection and removal of the existing 2 inch line; heading north, along the western side of Clements Street, crossing the existing paved Victoria Street at Clements Street to the northern side of Victoria Street, including four 250mm valves and one curb stop and reconnection of the existing 2 inch water line; then heading east, along the northern side Victoria Street, crossing the existing paved Clements Street at Victoria Street, and continuing east along the unpaved Victoria Street right of way until it reaches the Rodney Street right of way near 194 Rodney Street, including 2 curb stops along the Victoria Street Right of Way, a 250mm to 200mm adaptor, fire hydrant and curb stop at the water mains new terminus. A total distance of roughly 170 meters, and includes: five valves; 4 curb stop connections; one fire hydrant, and other connections/adapters as needed. All work must be completed in accordance with Provincial regulations, specifically including regarding provision of a potable water supply.
