Railroad Roadbed Rehabilitation (MP 14.12 - 26.9) project. The project will complete improvements to the Clark County Chelatchie Prairie Railroad between milepost 14.12 to 26.9, but the current work will focus on the roadbed rehabilitation of the railroad from milepost 21.50 to milepost 23.16. Improvements will primarily focus on the replacement of deteriorated cross ties, addition of ballast, and rehabilitation of switch ties and surfacing. This project is part of a larger effort to maintain and repair the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad north of Battle Ground in Clark County. Primary bid items: Replace Cross Ties, Ballast Distribution, Surface, Line, & Dress (SLD), and Raise Track with SLD. MP 14.12 BATTLE GROUND TO MP 26.9 YACOLT Questions and requests for clarification must be submitted using the electronic CRP Inquiry Submittal Form located on the County website, Responses will be posted on the projects Bid Inquiry Log. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the Bidder's company name, project title, project number, bid opening date, and "SEALED BID" clearly marked on the outside of the envelope.Bids submitted by FAX or email will not be accepted. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or proposal bond in an amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory contract bond, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to Clark County. The County reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, reject any or all bids, or cancel the bid if the best interests of Clark County are not served.
