Site Address(es): Garvanian Park Century Park Pathway Century Park Boat Dock Parking Lot Hawthorn Club Park The work included in this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental items necessary for the completion of pavement rehabilitation; HMA partial depth removal (Mill and Overlay) at 1.5, HMA surface course N50, and paint pavement markings. Work shall be in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Department of Transportation, State of Illinois, Latest Editions, and/or Village of Vernon Hills Engineering Standards. Sealed bids are requested for the 2026 Asphalt Resurfacing project. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope clearly marked for the project and delivered to the specified address. Bid documents can be obtained from the specified website. A pre-bid meeting will be held as announced, providing an opportunity to review specifications and discuss concerns. While attendance is not mandatory, bidders are encouraged to attend. The District reserves the right to waive technicalities, accept or reject any bids, or accept only portions of a bid. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, most responsible, and responsive bidder as determined by the Owner. In considering a bidder's responsibility, the District may evaluate the bidder's ability to provide experienced labor, financial capability, and past project performance. The project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, and proposals should provide for payment at prevailing wage rates for all laborers. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond for ten percent of the bid amount. The selected contractor must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including those pertaining to equal employment opportunity. Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids and to be utilized as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
