Remodeling of a multi-residential development in Oak Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a multi-residential development.
As of December 04, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on in about a month. The sealed bids will be received for the following project: Mills Park Tower First Floor Remodeling. Construction consists of selective demolition, flooring, carpentry, millwork, mailboxes, acoustical panel ceilings, plumbing fixtures, water, drain, waste and vent piping, fire sprinkler work, HVAC ductwork, light fixtures, receptacles and switches. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the base bid or a certified check in the same amount payable to The Oak Park Housing Authority The Contractor, before commencing the work, shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the full amount of the Contract Sum. The Oak Park Housing Authority reserves the right to award the contract in its best interests, to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities in bidding, and to hold the three lowest proposals for a period of thirty (30) days after bid due date. The Oak Park Housing Authority, in an effort to reaffirm its policy of non-discrimination, encourages the efforts of Contractors and Sub-Contractors to take affirmative action in providing for Equal Employment Opportunity without regard to race, religion, creed, color, sex, national origin, age, protected Veteran status or handicap unrelated to ability to perform the job. The Owner encourages General Contractors to employ minority subcontractors and suppliers. Question Deadline 11/18/2025 Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening. Requests may be oral or written. Oral requests must be confirmed in writing. The Work generally consists of the following (see drawings for scope of work): Selective demolition of interior partitions and doors, ceramic tile flooring and setting bed, suspended acoustical ceilings, light fixtures, receptacles and switches, relocation of fire sprinkler heads where required by new partition locations, relocation of fire alarm pull station required by new partition location, removal of plumbing fixtures, removal and relocation of water, drain, waste and vent piping, trenching and patching of concrete slab for new underground sewer waste and drain piping, ductwork and termination devices. Provide new gypsum board and metal stud partitions, aluminum and glass interior storefront partitions and doors, wood doors, hollow metal frames, door hardware, resilient flooring, resilient base, suspended acoustical panel ceilings, mailboxes, kitchen cabinets and countertops, millwork, plumbing fixtures, drain, waste and vent piping, piping insulation, HVAC ductwork, termination devices, and ionizers, light fixtures, conduit and wiring, switches, & receptacles
