Renovation of an educational facility in Riverhead, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A. Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, tools, means, methods, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work as required by the Contract Documents for this Construction Contract. Each contractor shall coordinate, through the Owner/Architect/Engineer, the work of their contract with the work by others. B. This following abbreviated summary is provided in order to briefly describe the work covered by the Contract Documents for this Construction Contract. It is not all inclusive of the work under the Contract. C. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following 1. To renovate kitchens at both Phillips Avenue Elementary School and Riley Avenue Elementary School (RHSD2403/2404). 2. Provide, install, and commission all food service equipment.. This includes the refrigeration system for the walk-in cooler and freezer in entirety. 3. Provide and install outdoor canopy at Riley Avenue Elemenatary School. 4. Project closeout submittals. 5. Demolition and removals as shown, 6. Install epoxy floor coating system. 7. New sidewalks and concrete curbing. RILEY AVENUE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SED No. 58-06-02-04-0-009-016 Bidder's deposit will be refunded if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Non-bidders shall receive partial reimbursement, in an amount equal to the amount of the deposit, less the actual cost of reproduction of the documents if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. In the event that on this date the Riverhead Central School District is closed to all students and all staff or has an early dismissal due to weather or any other emergency that closes all schools and offices for all students and staff prior to 10:00am, bids will be due at 10:00am on the next day that the district is open. All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available online. Plan holders who have paid for hard copies of the bid documents will need to make the determination if hard copies of the addenda are required for their use and coordinate directly with REVplans for hardcopies of addenda to be issued. There will be no charge of registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda. Requests for information (RFI) will only be received in writing or electronically. Deadline for RFI's will be 5:00 P.M. on 13, November 2025. Any question or comment received after this time will not be answered. All RFI responses will be issued through written addendum. Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications that bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: RIVERHEAD CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE, ATTN: Janette Velardi, Purchasing Agent, 814 HARRISON AVENUE, RIVERHEAD, NY 11901 , clearly marked on the outside: Bid For: RH26-007 Kitchen Upgrades. The school district is not responsible for bids opened prior to the bid opening if the bid number and opening date do not appear on the envelope. Bids opened prior to the date and indicated time are invalid. The bidder assumes the risk of any delay in the mail, or in the handling of the mail by employees of Riverhead Central School District, as well as the improper hand delivery. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the RIVERHEAD CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Certification of bonding company is required for this bid, see Instructions for Bidders section. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening.
