Reference Number 0000306096 The Services required under this Contract shall consist of the coordination and design/delivery of fitness and wellness programming for the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service personnel. The Services required under this Contract shall consist of the coordination and design/delivery of fitness and wellness programming for Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service personnel for the period from date of award until December 31, 2026, with the option of three (3) mutually agreed upon one (1) year extensions. The City may negotiate the extension option with the Contractor within ninety (90) Calendar Days prior to the expiry date of the Contract. The City shall incur no liability to the Contractor as a result of such negotiations. 2 Changes resulting from such negotiations shall become effective on January 1st of the respective year. Changes to the Contract shall not be implemented by the Contractor without written approval by the Contract Administrator. Bidders are advised that, in future, the City may be participating in collaborative procurement initiatives with other levels of government. Accordingly, extensions to this Contract may not be exercised. It is anticipated that WFPS will require approximately fifteen (15) - twenty (20) hours of Work each week. The major components of the Work (Project Programming and Delivery) are as follows, and shall include: (a) Analysis of physiological job requirements and biomechanics in consultation with academic and other research partners and stakeholders; (b) Development of fitness and exercise programming for staff in all branches based on identified needs and physical requirements in consultation with established WFPS research partners; (c) Procurement and management of additional similar/appropriately qualified personnel to assist with the delivery of fitness and wellness programming as required; (d) Work with and under the overall direction of the FPS and contract CA regarding program direction and delivery; (e) Administration and management of any required physical evaluation; Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
