The project involves the reconstruction of the existing sewage disposal system and other exterior site improvements at LaGrange Fire District Station No. 2. The work must be completed in phases: the septic system installation is to be substantially complete and deemed functionally operational by January 1, 2026, with all remaining work substantially complete by May 22, 2026, and ready for final payment by June 22, 2026. Bids are to be submitted on a lump sum basis, with allowances and add alternates if included. Envelopes containing the bids must be sealed, appropriately addressed, and designated as "Station 2 Site Improvements." Any bids received after the appointed time will be rejected. Only Registered Plan Holders may submit a bid. Bidders must comply with the New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each submission. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price. Tax on materials incorporated into the project should not be included. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or to reject any or all bids without explanation. A pre-bid conference will not be held.
