Renovation of an educational facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Several campus buildings' fire pump controllers are obsolete or have operational issues and have been identified for replacement. In addition, several fire pump system jockey pump controllers require replacement. The following campus buildings have been designated for fire pump controller replacement: . Atkins Library . Bioinformatics . Duke Hall . Facilities Management & Police . McEniry . PORTAL . Robinson Hall The following campus buildings have been designated for jockey pump controller replacement: . Bioinformatics . Cato Hall . Duke Hall . Facilities Management & Police . Fretwell . PORTAL . Robinson Hall *Submittals must include the cover sheet, Sections I and II of the Standard Form 330, the Designer's Supplemental Information Form, along with any additional information considered appropriate. Please deliver one copy of the submittal, along with one electronic copy in pdf format USB drive attached to a printed submittal at the address noted above. Hard copy should be bound together as a document and the digital submission should be assembled into a single pdf file. Please deliver all submittals to LaKeya Hewlin at the address written above. Several campus buildings' fire pump controllers are obsolete or have operational issues. These have been identified to be replaced. There are also several fire pump system jockey pump controllers needing replacement. EXPECTATIONS OF THE DESIGNER The Design team must include professionals who can demonstrate high standards ofaccomplishments and knowledge in the following areas: Demonstrated experience in design and construction of building systems electro/mechanical projects, focused on fire protection engineering. Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive and cost-effective designs for the installation and commissioning of fire pump controllers in accordance with NFPA 20, NFPA 70, and NFPA 110. North Carolina State Construction Office, UNC System, and Department of Insurance requirements and procedures. Working with multiple user groups, committees, and University customers. Designer must also verify that the firm is independent of any manufacturers, contractors, and suppliers. The total project budget is $600,000.00
