Sealed bids are requested for the construction of sanitary sewer improvements under Cdbgcv Project: Cv-nc-20-019. The work includes two parts: Part A (Cdbgcv Funds Eligible): Installation of 1,911 linear feet of 8" PVC sanitary sewer main, 9 precast concrete manholes, 880 linear feet of 4" PVC sanitary sewer service pipe, 6 residential service connections and septic tank abandonments, 1 duplex nonclog pump station, 2,800 linear feet of 6" PE SDR9 IPS force main, and other related items. Part B (Cdbgcv Funds Ineligible): Installation of 961 linear feet of 8" PVC sanitary sewer main, 4 precast concrete manholes, 375 linear feet of 4" PVC sanitary sewer service pipe, 4 residential service connections and septic tank abandonments, 1 simplex grinder unit assembly, 150 linear feet of 1.5" PE SDR9 IPS house service line, and other related items. The contract will be awarded based on the total bid for Part A plus Part B. Bidders must submit complete proposals provided by the owner, with digital project documents available for a nonrefundable fee and optional paper documents available for a refundable deposit if returned in reusable condition. All bids must be submitted in the contract specification book issued by the engineer and in a sealed envelope bearing the name, license number, address of the bidder, and the project name. Other requirements include compliance with Alabama contractor licensing law, deposit of bid security, submission of performance and payment bonds, and adherence to federal and state nondiscrimination and wage regulations. Bids from nonresident contractors must include specific documentation. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the opening date.
