Development and redevelopment of the port area and its infrastructure. The project includes in particular, but is not limited to: Design and construction of a new berth with almost 400 m of frontage; Cap dredging; Design and construction of a new storage area and associated services behind the new approximately 70,000 m2 berth; Design and construction of approximately 110,000 m2 storage area and associated services in the port area; Design and construction of a new reception building and related infrastructure; Design and construction of a road redevelopment at the entrance to the Port Area and all related infrastructure; Design and construction of access to the port area (booth); Design and construction of a new service building in the Port Area; Design and Construction of the extension and refurbishment of the existing B1-B2 docks; Work monitoring, including environmental monitoring. TIMELINE: The owners have secure a Design-Build team consisting of engineers (CIMA+) and general contractor (Hamel Construction) to carry out the Horizon Project in a collaborative mode, namely the Integrated Project Implementation (IPM). The effective start of ground work was launched in February 2026 following current interventions focusing on the foundation consolidation stages relates to the construction of a new approximately 390 meters long B6 quay, the centerpiece of the project, that will have a berth designed to accommodate ships of more than 25,000 deadweight tons (DWT).
