The North Charleston Sewer District is seeking to retain a qualified engineering firm to perform a preliminary engineering report for the Felix C. Davis WWTP Main Influent Pump Station. The scope of work is to review the current state of existing assets within the pump station and identify assets needing replacement or upgrading. Specifically, all existing assets within the pump station are to be reviewed and evaluated for replacement, with particular attention to the pumps and controls, as well as the screening technology, to determine if upgrades or replacements are recommended. The two wet wells, due to their age and location, are to be critically assessed for potential significant structural rehabilitation. The final report should include design recommendations considering structural, mechanical, and electrical design components. To be considered, submit one original and five copies of the response, plus six electronic copies on USB drives, each on separate media. The submission must be compatible with Microsoft Office (version 2003 or later) or Adobe Acrobat. The Purchasing Agent must be able to view, search, copy, and print the electronic documents without a password. Submissions are to be delivered to the District offices by the specified deadline. The District will not accept late responses and will not be responsible for responses not delivered on time by any carrier. The intent is not to award the contract to any firm without satisfactory evidence of successfully completing similar projects and having the requisite capital, equipment, and personnel to complete the required work in a reasonable time.
