Consultant services are required to provide Materials Engineering in District Eight as well as Materials Technicians (field/lab or technical office work). The Consultant will provide support for various IDOT materials functionality, office work, inspection, and field/lab processes throughout District Eight. The position will report directly to District Eight headquarters in Collinsville, IL each day to perform tasks and or receive assignments, unless assignments are given in advance which require reporting to an alternate location. Potential work assignments may include construction sites, producer locations, quarries, and the District Materials Laboratory. This work may involve working directly with contractors, producers, suppliers, local agencies, and/or other consultants. Consultant must maintain consistent staff, and any deviation of staff must be approved by District Eight. The completion date for this contract will be 60 months after authorization to proceed.
