The City of Coral Gables is soliciting bids for parking lot improvements from a qualified General Contractor or Miami-Dade County General Contractor. Prospective bidders must register with Infor in order to download the solicitation package and be eligible to submit a bid. Solicitation responses, including those for Invitations for Bids (IFBs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and other formal solicitations, must be submitted electronically through Infor. Any request for additional information or clarification must be received in writing through Infor. Attendance at the non-mandatory pre-bid conference or site visit is encouraged but not required. Certified minority business enterprises and other minority or woman-owned enterprises are encouraged to respond to the solicitation. Bidders are responsible for submitting bids before the stated deadline. Question Deadline 11/14/2025 at 4:00 PM ET Any request for additional information or clarification must be received in writing through online portal The scope of work may include, but is not limited to the following: a) Installation of temporary Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPP), erosion, sediment, tree protection, construction fencing, and traffic control devices. b) Clearing the site of any identified organics. c) Demolition of concrete curbing and other concrete items. d) Removal of parking meters, traffic/parking signage and identified trees and plants. e) Excavation and installation of all utility underground items and EV Charging Station infrastructure. Backfill with suitable fill and compaction. f) Balance areas to be paved. Add sub-base and base material as required and compact. g) Construction of new concrete curbing, gutters, pads, footers, and bases. h) Milling and resurfacing of asphalt pavement, add and compact new asphalt on the identified areas. Stripe the asphalt surface as indicated on the drawings. i) j) Furnish and install rubberized wheel stops, steel bollards, and signage as per details. Furnish and install lighting fixtures and poles. k) Pressure clean all concrete curbing that is to remain. l) Paint all identified owner signage and remaining existing curbing. m) Electrical, irrigation, and landscaping related work. Coordinate with outside authorities having jurisdiction and regulating agencies. n) Restore any damaged or disturbed areas to their pre-construction condition. The Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, construction equipment, machinery, tools, services, supervision, transportation/travel, fuel, and equipment necessary to complete the improvements of the parking lots. The Contractor shall be responsible to apply for, and secure the City of Coral Gables permits, and any other agency permit as necessary. The Contractor shall pay for all required permits, and the City will reimburse the amount paid without any overhead and/or profit.
