Track Resurfacing at Ram Stadium for Chambers County Board of Education, Lafayette, Alabama. All general contractors bidding must visit the site and examine all existing conditions before submitting a proposal. Bidders must have general liability and workman's compensation insurance, and bid excluding taxes. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the architect or copies thereof. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technical errors if deemed in the best interests of the owner. A certified check or bid bond payable to Chambers County Schools in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, but not exceeding $10,000.00, must accompany the sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at signing of the contract. Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding those set by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975 and show evidence of license on the outside of sealed envelope with the proposal. Project documents may be reviewed online via the architect's website, and all RFIs and RFAs must be submitted via forms in the project manual by email. Only the forms in the project manual will be accepted and inquiries will not be accepted by telephone or fax. The contractor is required to ensure proper supervision of all work.
