The proposed scope includes fuel storage system upgrades at Little Grand Rapids, God’s Lake, and Shamattawa detachments. At Little Grand Rapids, the existing 15,000 L aboveground storage tank (AST) will be decommissioned and replaced with a new 25,000 L AST to mitigate fuel shortage risks. At God’s Lake Narrows, the existing 15,000 L tank will also be replaced with a new 25,000 L AST at the detachment, and the existing 25,000 L tank at the airport will be removed. At Shamattawa, the existing diesel, gasoline, and day tanks will be decommissioned and replaced with new like-sized tanks. Compared to the earlier scope-which included additional measures such as containment review and repair, piping inspection/replacement, installation of ULC-approved sumps, fire extinguishers, spill kits, and updated safety signage-the current scope focuses primarily on tank replacement and decommissioning activities, omitting the broader site safety and compliance enhancements included in the prior version.
