Road Reconstruction and Drainage Improvements of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road - Segment 3A from North of Ezekiel Road to North of Boudreaux Road for Harris County Precinct 3 Question Deadline 11/14/2025 at 12:00 PM CT SPECIFICATION The project will consist of furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to perform road reconstruction and drainage improvements of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road - Segment 3A from North of Ezekiel Road to North of Boudreaux Road for Harris County Precinct 3. The overall objective for this project is to reconstruct the existing 2-lane asphalt roadway into a standard concrete 4-lane boulevard section, with curb and gutter and storm sewer. This project construction of storm sewer improvements, and roadside ditch improvements ultimately discharging into Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) Channel M122-00-00. Major work activities include off-site disposal of about 22,508 cubic yards of excavation. The scope of work includes the reconstruction of the existing 2- lane asphalt roadway into a concrete 4-lane boulevard section with 32-foot wide medians, and curb & gutter. Drainage improvements include elimination of existing roadside ditches and construction of a new storm sewer system, storm water within the project limits will be drained into the roadway and channeled into inlets along the outside curb. The scope of work also includes clearing & grubbing, reconstruction of existing driveways in concrete, adjustments to existing utilities, new signing and pavement markings along the proposed corridor, traffic and pedestrian signals at 3 intersections (Woodland Shore, Fountain Bend, and Boudreaux), construction of a new railroad crossing north of the Boudreaux intersection, and stormwater pollution prevention efforts. Areas are to be treated with Hydromulch seeding or Bermuda Sod (for SWPPP purposes, per plans) once construction activity ceases.
