NHPS - Door Repairs and Replacements - Windows/Doors The City of New Haven Board of Education is seeking a qualified contractor to submit a time and materials proposal to perform all types of adjustments, repairs, and replacements to doors (both interior and exterior) and related hardware throughout schools in the District. Functioning fire and egress doors are required by Federal and State Codes, and NHPS policy. Many fire and/or egress doors do not open, fail to latch, or are compromised to the point of not meeting code requirements due to either wear or vandalism. Properly operating fire and/or egress doors are mandatory and necessary for safety and security. Each bidder shall submit a statement of the bidder's qualifications, its experience record in constructing the type of improvements embraced in the Contract, and its organization and equipment available for the work contemplated, on the form furnished for that purpose contained in the Response Submittals. When specifically requested by the City, bidders shall also submit a detailed financial statement. The City reserves the right to take necessary steps to determine the ability of the bidder to perform its obligations under the Contract and may reject any bid when investigation does not satisfy the City that the bidder is qualified to carry out the terms of the Contract. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
