Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Carmel, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Sealed proposals are being solicited from qualified engineering firms licensed in the State of New York to provide design, permitting, bid assistance, and construction engineering services for upgrades to the Carmel Water District 2 (CWD 2) water treatment plant and the decommissioning of the existing water treatment plant. The scope includes professional engineering services for the design and construction administration of a new water treatment plant. The water district serves approximately 5,300 people and operates a water treatment plant with a design capacity of 1.0 million gallons per day, constructed in 1976. The facility uses diatomaceous earth filtration and chlorine disinfection. The selected firm will be responsible for facilitating all associated upgrades and administrative activities necessary to implement the project.
