Renovation of a military facility in Red Springs, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 17,760-square-foot military facility.

The objective of this project is to upgrade the electrical systems for the NC National Guard's Red Springs Readiness Center and Field Maintenance Shop 10. The 13,760 SF Readiness Center and the 4,000 SF Field Maintenance Shop both have electrical systems that cannot support the required electrical loads. The main goal of the renovation is to ensure that all devices, panels, and wiring comply with current building codes, increase the load capacity & distribution panel capabilities, consolidate all panels into central locations, reroute select electrical conduits, and install a Manual Transfer Switch for standby generator operation. All modifications will only affect the existing facilities, and no changes to site electrical infrastructure are planned. This project is contingent upon receipt of Federal and State funds. Initial design funds are fully funded. These funds will support 100% design, through Construction Documents (CD). Proceeding with Bidding, Construction Administration, and Closeout will be contingent upon receipt of biennial state funding from the FY23-25 budget. The NCNG will provide, planning documents, and other related program documents that detail potential future force structure and work activities on the complex for the Designer to Develop and Evaluate Alternatives. As a federally funded, state executed project this project will follow both State and Federal guidelines.
