The project includes redevelopment of a second portion of Comiskey Park, including demolition of existing features, site grading, erosion control, sidewalks, HMA pavement parking lot with curb and gutter, decorative and functional pavement marking, basketball courts, lighting, electrical wiring including conduit, storm sewer, water service and drinking fountains, existing park shelter new roof and downspout modifications, new entry canopy for park shelter, existing fence modifications, landscape plantings, new park shelters, site furnishings, new park entry signage, and seatwalls. Bidders must provide bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract, which can be a cashier's or certified check, certified share draft, or bid bond with corporate surety. Preference shall be given to products, provisions, and labor from Iowa as required by statute. State sales tax should not be included, and a sales tax exemption certificate will be available for materials purchased in Iowa for the project.
