Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
Construction of a floating platform with a mix of areas for seating and lounging and swimming, diving platforms, 50-metre swim lanes, and a shallow leisure pool. The deck will include: Generous, protected swimming areas; An accessible shallow pool; 50-metre swim lanes; Diving platforms; Lounging and seating area; Accommodates up to 400 people. Site: Burrard Inlet along the shoreline of Waterfront Park. TIMELINE: Request for Qualifications is underway seeking consulting services for the project. The City of North Vancouver ("CNV") invites submissions for the prequalification of multidisciplinary design and technical teams (the "Team") led by an Architectural firm with experience in aquatic recreation facilities, marine structures, public realm design and washroom renewals including all associated infrastructure and regulatory permitting requirements. The team is expected to complete construction documents and cost estimates by the end of 2026 and oversee construction in quarter one and two of 2027. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process will lead to the shortlisting of Consultant teams to participate in a Request for Proposals (RFP) to deliver the project. Further update in summer 2026.
