Site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; service station / car wash facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Louisville Metro Facilities Management intends to award a contract for the Renovation and Expansion of the Louisville Metro Radio Shop for Metro Fleet Services . This is a project to renovate the existing office, bathrooms, breakrooms, and an addition to the existing garage which will also include renovations to the existing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. The Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government ("Metro Government") is now accepting Proposals for Radio Shop Renovation and Expansion for Metro Fleet located at 3515 Newburg Road. This is a project to renovate the existing office, bathrooms, breakrooms, and an addition to the existing garage which will also include renovations to the existing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. The project schedule has been well defined and EOP Architects has produced the construction documents and project manual to provide the design criteria and intent. The timeframe for the construction process once a design builder is selected will be 6 months. EOP Architects shall be kept as the architect of record, and we would ask that you consider them as part of your team. Work may be performed in an area where other Owner operations are also being performed. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to prevent foreign material, tools, or debris from falling on equipment. Question Deadline 11/17/2025 at 3:00 PM ET Completion- 120 CD. The Contractor's attention is directed to the General and Special Conditions, GENERAL PROVISIONS - MECHANICAL and to all other Contract Documents as they apply to this branch of the work. Attention is also directed to all other sections of the Contract Documents which affect the work of this section, and which are hereby made a part of the work specified in this section. 1.2 The Mechanical work for this Contract shall include all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures, excavation, backfill and related items required to completely install, test, place in service and deliver to the Owner the complete mechanical systems in accordance with the accompanying plans and all provisions of these specifications. This work shall primarily include but is not necessarily limited to the following paragraphs. 1.3 All applicable services and work specified in GENERAL PROVISIONS - MECHANICAL. 1.4 Installation of all equipment per the manufacturer's instruction, whether specifically detailed or not. 1.5 Provide all required motor starters, etc. not provided under the electrical sections. 1.6 Thorough instruction of the Owner's maintenance personnel in the operation and maintenance of all mechanical equipment. 1.7 Thorough coordination of the installation of all piping, ductwork, equipment, and any other material with other trades to ensure no conflict in installation. 1.8 Approved supervision of the mechanical work. 1.9 Procurement of all required inspections, including fees for all inspection services and submission of final certificates of inspection to the Engineers. 1.10 Excavation, backfilling, cutting, patching, sleeving, concrete work, etc., required to construct the mechanical systems. 1.11 Equipment and controls start-up, verification and documentation as specified. 1.12 Record drawings, final inspection certificates, test results, O & M documentation, warranty certification, spare parts, and other specified closeout documentation. 1.13 Required schedule of values breakdown. 1.14 Pipe, duct, and equipment identifications. 1.15 Preinstallation meetings and equipment mockups. 1.16 Specified Commissioning activities. 1.17 Domestic hot, cold, and recirculating hot water system. 1.18 Soil, waste, and vent systems. 15% for certified minority owned businesses o 5% for certified female owned businesses; and o 0.5% for certified handicapped owned businesses.
