Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Avoca, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The Board of Education of the Avoca Central School District invites bids for a Single-Prime General Construction Contract for the Avoca Central School District, 2025-2026 Coep Project located at the Main Building, 17 Oliver Street, Avoca, NY 14809. Separate sealed bids will be received at the District Office. Bidders must ensure delivery of their bid to the designated location prior to the designated bid opening time. Copies of the bidding documents may be obtained by prime contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for a deposit, with additional costs for mailing or online viewing. Bids must be accompanied by a security deposit of at least five percent of the base bid. Attention is called to the owner's sales tax exemption, conditions of employment, and minimum wage rates. Bidding documents outline requirements for bidder qualification, including bonding and insurance, financial statements, and records of similar projects. Bids should be prepared as per the instructions to bidders, placed in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name, address, and the title of the work. The owner reserves the right to waive or reject any or all bids and to disqualify bidders for failure to comply with the instructions to bidders.
