Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The contractor shall provide ground maintenance services for the new soccer/field hockey fields at Bridgeton High School, specifically all areas inside the fenced soccer areas at the back of the school where blue grass sod has been installed. The responsibilities include providing all equipment, materials, and labor required to maintain the grounds at a consistent professional level. This includes cutting the blue grass sod several times per week during the playing season (approximately 45 cuts), maintaining the grass at 1 inch for playing, bagging and removing trimmings, treating the blue grass sod with a fungal spray at least eight times (rotating sprays), and completing approximately eleven fertilizer applications using specified fertilizers and treatments. The contractor must also demonstrate flexibility for schedule changes due to athletic activities or weather. Services must be performed by a contractor regularly engaged in lawn and landscape maintenance, using trained personnel and providing MSDS sheets for chemicals. Notifications prior to insecticide treatments must be provided to district representatives. Mileage and travel time must be included in the proposal as no additional reimbursement will be made.
