It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded within thirty (30) days after the submittal deadline. Upon award of the contract, the successful bidder shall provide a payment bond in the amount of 50% of the total projected cost of the contract for the first year. The payment bond must be on the Town's form that is attached. 8. Performance Bond Upon award of the contract, the successful bidder shall provide a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the total projected cost of the contract for the first year. In accordance with M.G.L c149, all bidders are required to submit a 5% bid deposit/bond of the value of their bid. The Project consists of the installation and construction of HVAC Upgrades, and enabling work by other trades, at the Former Senior Center. a. This contract includes the following major components: 1) Replacement of existing HVAC system, including Rooftop Air Handling Units, with new HVAC system, including new air-source Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heat pump system and Energy Recover Ventilators (ERVs). 2) Installation of new refrigerant and condensate piping. 3) Augmentation of existing ductwork. 4) Replacement of existing electric unit heaters and radiators. 5) Upgrades to the existing Niagara building automation system, including integration via BACnet with the new heat pump and ERV factory controllers. 6) Replacement of existing gas-fired domestic hot water heater with new heat pump water heater. 7) Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural scope to support.
