City of Maple Ridge is expanding the 270A St Reservoir site. The work generally consists of, but is not limited to the supply and installation of a new (second) 1.6 ML glass-fused-to-steel bolted potable water storage tank and associated water main to connect to existing valve chambers on site; installation of a new PRV and flow metering chamber in a pre-cast concrete vault and associated water main and tie-ins; installation of a new tank drain box manhole with an HS-20 rated access hatch and associated stormwater piping and valves; demolition of an existing bolted steel reservoir; demolition of an old decommissioned pump station building and standby generator; site grading; startup, testing and commissioning of new and relocated equipment and all incidental and related work to complete the project. In addition to the above, City of Maple Ridge anticipates that an additional two drinking water reservoirs will require expansion in the next few years.
