The work consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 3,600 square feet of 4-inch thick sidewalk, 950 linear feet of 30-inch curb and gutter, installation of approximately 2,000 square feet of waterway transition structure, some landscaping, and 25 ADA ramps. The work will take place at various locations throughout the city and must be completed by June 30, 2026. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price payable to North Ogden City Corporation. Provisions of the current North Ogden City specifications and standard drawings, as well as applicable sections of the current edition of the Manual of Standard Specifications and Manual of Standard Plans published by the Utah Chapter of the American Public Works Association, are included by reference. A waiting period of 30 calendar days from the date of opening of bids to award of contract may be required. Bidders must assume full responsibility for and guarantee the bid price during this period. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the owner. Unless all proposals are rejected, the contract will be awarded using the “choosing by advantages decision making system.” Each bid must include documentation supporting the following: (1) number of years of experience as a general contractor, (2) list of projects of similar size and scope completed within the past 10 years, (3) list of key personnel with their qualifications and experience assigned to this project, (4) list of subcontractors, (5) list of projects of similar size and scope completed in North Ogden City within the last 10 years, and (6) references. This documentation will be used in the awarding process.
