Renovation of a multi-residential development in East Weymouth, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade multi-residential development.
Generator Replacement at State Aided Development: Pope Towers (667-3) Installation of a new life safety generator, including limited asbestos abatement and removal of the existing standby diesel generator, removal of two elevator manual transfer switches and replacement with automatic transfer switches, and connections to the existing fire pump controller. Bidding requests for information must be submitted online. Bids shall be submitted online and are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J and minimum wage rates as required. General bidders must be certified in the category of electrical work and submit appropriate certificates. Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five percent of the greatest possible bid amount, made payable to the Weymouth Housing Authority. Bidders must contract with Minority and Women Business Enterprises certified by the Supplier Diversity Office, with combined participation not less than 13% of the final contract price. The contractor and all subcontractors are required to strive for workforce participation of 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities.
