Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Saint Cloud, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 110,000-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; 30,000-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; and 115,000-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The project includes the Baseball Field Renovation and Football and Softball Fields Turf Replacement at Harmony High School. It covers three distinct projects at the same school site, intended to be awarded to a single contractor: 1. Baseball Field Renovation: Remove approximately 115,000 square feet of existing turf, properly dispose of material, install under drainage, assess and repair irrigation, re-grade, re-sod, and add and laser grade infield clay, all per engineer specifications. 2. Football Field Turf Replacement: Remove approximately 110,000 square feet (including sod and two inches of dirt), properly dispose of removed material, re-crown the field (1% slope) to improve drainage, and install new sod (Tif Tuff). Submit as-built survey at closeout. 3. Softball Field Turf Replacement: Remove approximately 30,000 square feet (including sod and two inches of dirt), properly dispose, regrade and level for drainage, install new sod (Tif Tuff), and re-laser approximately 12,500 square feet of new clay area. Submit as-built survey at closeout. The contractor must provide complete turn-key renovation using certified, qualified Sports Turf installers with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Bidders must list five similar projects completed in the last 4 years. The general renovation scope for Projects 2 & 3 includes: - Mobilization - Herbicide applications prior to turf removal - Pre-construction inspection and minor adjustment of irrigation system - Removal of existing Bermuda grass and specified dirt depth - Compaction to sports field standards - Laser grading with specified slopes - Re-installation and adjustment of irrigation heads and valve boxes - Installation of soil conditioner and laser-graded clay - Sod installation with specified quality controls and a 60-day establishment and maintenance grow-in period - Responsibility for any damage to irrigation systems during the work All work to be completed within a specified timeframe.
