The work to be performed includes decommissioning the existing wastewater pumping station and installing a new pumping station. Principal items of work include: construction of a sanitary pumping station and foundations (including building, pumps, piping, valving, appurtenances, and all associated electrical work); construction of a comminutor chamber (including comminutors, bar screen, piping, appurtenances, and all associated electrical work); installation of a generator (including all associated electrical work and foundations); installation of force main, manholes, gravity sewer lines and appurtenances; installation of a jib crane and yard hydrant; instrumentation and controls and all associated electrical work; and decommissioning and demolition of the existing Lotz Lane sanitary pumping station. The work is to be completed within 730 calendar days. Bids must be submitted on the prescribed forms and include a non-collusion affidavit, ownership statement compliance form, Consent of Surety, and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of at least ten percent (not to exceed $20,000) of the amount bid. The successful bidder must provide a performance and payment bond for 100 percent of the accepted bid and the required insurance. Additional requirements include authorization to do business in New Jersey for out-of-state corporations, compliance with equal employment opportunity laws, disclosure of partners and stockholders for corporations, partnerships, or LLCs, sealed envelope submission labeled for the project, and compliance with prevailing wage rates.
