The Major Items of Work Consist of 1. Traffic Control; 2. Grading 3. Base and Paving 4. Thermoplastic Striping The major items of work include traffic control, grading, base and paving, and thermoplastic striping. Bidders are required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the construction of the project. Work must comply with current GDOT standards, specifications, supplemental specifications, and special provisions, if applicable. Each bid must be submitted with a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the bid. The successful bidder must furnish a satisfactory performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent of the bid. Only bidders who have obtained a set of bid documents from Coweta County Public Works and meet the pre-qualification requirements outlined are eligible to bid. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interest of the County, to waive any formality or informality, to add to or delete from the contract once awarded, and to award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Bidders may not withdraw their bids within 60 days after the bid opening. Bidders are also encouraged to consider Disadvantage Business Enterprises (DBEs) and must adhere to the non-discrimination policies set forth.
