Sealed bids are sought for furnishing gravel to be used by the Caldwell Parish Police Jury for a specified one-year period. Bids must specify the price per ton for various grades of gravel, including Base Course - #57, Crushed Stone - #610, Maintenance, Grade 1, Pitrun Grade "A" (Pitrun gravel with P1 of 10% or less), and SB2/White Rock. All gravel must meet Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development specifications for each grade. The material is to be picked up by the Road Maintenance Department and stockpiled at the Parish Barn as necessary. Bids must present prices on a truck load measurement basis, per ton. The successful bidder is required to provide a $1500 performance bond before contract award and ensure accuracy of truck body measurements. The Police Jury reserves the right to reject any and all incomplete or irregular bids. No bid may be withdrawn for thirty days after the opening.
