(Preliminary) (CC 49, CB 1) DEP ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Replace existing Con Edison service transformers, medium voltage switchgear, motor control centers, underground ductbanks, wiring, motors, diesel engines, and the addition of new Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and service transformer primary side protection (switchgears). Work also includes construction of a new dedicated electrical building in compliance with applicable codes and standards to house the new medium voltage switchgear, DC battery system, and motor controllers. Construction will require a Support of Excavation (SOE) installation, Mini Pile foundation system, retaining wall construction, site regrading and drainage system upgrades. New Clove Pumping Station o Located at 1270 Victory Blvd. o Staten Island, NY 10301 o Site located at the corner of Victory Blvd. and Ontario Avenue. o Constructed in 1971 to replace Old Clove Pumping Station. Anticipated Contract Term: 2283 consecutive calendar days Anticipated Contract Start Date: 9/5/2026 The contractor agrees to make documented good faith efforts to utilize at least 20% of the total value of the contract to certified DBE's. Rehabilitation of the electrical distribution system and associated equipment critical for reliable operation of the pumping station. The project will improve system performance and reliability, improve system control through additional control features and access points, reduce the cost of operation and facilitate safer work environment for employees. Failure of this station would cause major disruptions to the water supply of Staten Island as it serves as the primary pressurization for the section of Staten Island. NCMCCSG CM Contract will provide Construction Management Services for NCMCCSG, which includes Construction Phase Services and Construction Closeout phase Services. General/Site o Demolition of the existing outdoor switchgear, Con Ed service transformers, Electrical substations, Portion of the existing ductbank, and chain link fence. o Installation of new ductbank, Electrical Manholes, Property line manholes. Service Switchgear and Ehouse, Service Transformers, new substation equipment. o Site Restoration includes pavement, curbs, landscaping wall and fencing, parking spaces, and a new stormwater detention tank and catch basins. New Electrical Building o Construction of a new dedicated electrical building. o Installation of a medium voltage switchgear, Energy efficient Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Distribution transformers, panels and appurtenances. Existing Pumping station o Replacement of 4 diesel engines, associated exhaust and piping systems and existing cooling system. o Removal of existing rheostat cooling system. o Removal of existing electrical equipment, such as MCC, starters, switchgears, transformer, etc. o Installation of new pump motors, transformers, lowvoltage equipment, LV-VFD, panelboards, ATS, and associated wiring.
