No Pre-Bid Conference shall be required. Bidders shall inspect the sites and perform their own measurements and surveys in order to determine the proper quantity of labor hours, materials, supplies, equipment, etc. required to complete this contract. Electronic Bid Surety in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount is due with bid submission. Performance Bond in the amount of 50% of the total contract price will be required. The performance bond shall be produced upon contract execution. A Louisiana State Commercial Contractor's License shall be required in the following category: o Specialty: Landscaping, Grading and Beautification The above LA State Contractor's License will be required in accordance with LRS 37:2150 et. seq. and such license number must be entered in the appropriate field in the electronic procurement system. Failure to comply will cause the bid to be rejected. The contractor shall have a license in the following categories from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry: o Landscaping Horticulturist and o Ground Applicator Owner-Operator License. A copy of the front and back of each of the above Agriculture and Forestry licenses must be included with bid submission. Failure to comply could result in the bid being rejected. The successful bidder shall obtain any and all permits required by the Jefferson Parish Department of Code Compliance and Enforcement for this scope of work. The successful bidder shall be responsible for payment of permits, licenses, and certifications, etc., and costs of keeping all current during the term of the contract. We extend this bid to cover the furnishing of labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to provide grass cutting and landscape maintenance for a period of two (2) years at the following JPAWS locations: Grass cutting/maintenance schedule for location #1 and #2 required as follows: Weekly: March through October (8 months) Bi- Weekly: November through February (4 months) Forty-three (43) cuts per year for a total of eighty-six (86) cuts per two-year period at the following: 1. East Bank Location #1 Humane Way Jefferson, LA 70123 Note: Site is starting construction phase, reducing grass cutting/maintenance footage. 2. West Bank Location 2701 Lapalco Blvd. Harvey, LA 70058. Grass cutting/maintenance will be required eighteen (18) times each year at the following property: 3. West Bank Location - Field (outside fence to canal) 2701 Lapalco Blvd. Harvey, LA 70058 There is no weekly/monthly cutting schedule for location #3. It is at the discretion of the successful contractor to determine the schedule to accomplish the required eighteen (18) cuts per year. The successful contractor shall submit a schedule to the JPAWS Director for approval. (Note: JPAWS owns all of the property located at the West Bank Location from Peters Rd. to the canal. The field, outside of the fence and all the way to the canal, is considered Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services property and shall be included in this bid.) Bidders must inspect all sites and perform their own measurements and survey the sites to determine the proper quantities of labor hours, equipment, supplies, materials, required for this contract. The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies and equipment necessary to provide grass cutting and landscape maintenance. The Building Maintenance Supervisor shall be notified by email on the first working day upon completion of any and all visit/services. This receipt will reflect: grass cutting, shrubbery trimming, pruning, landscaping activities, planting, mulching, weeding, chemical applications, etc. Contractor will email the completion sheet to Kenneth.Jamison@jeffparish.gov. In addition to the contractual reasons for early termination of the entire contract, Jefferson Parish reserves the right to cancel individual services listed in this contract with thirty (30) days' notice.
