Description: This project is for the full replacement of existing Bridge No. 0802100 with the proposed Small Structure No. 08079X0 on MD 225 (Hawthorne Road) over Branch of Mattawoman Creek. The existing structure consists of a battery of four 6'-0" x 3'-8" corrugated metal pipes (CMP) with an overall length of approximately 83'-4". The proposed structure consists of a battery of three 98" x 63" elliptical reinforced concrete pipes with an overall length of 64'-0" with two headwalls on spread footings. Traffic will be detoured during construction. This project will include approximately 210' of resurfacing or pavement reconstruction roadwork, detour and construction signage, stream diversion and in-stream work, stormwater management and erosion and sediment control, temporary support of excavation, and formwork.
