Renovation of a mixed-use development in Double Springs, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Sealed proposals will be received for the Winston County Intercom Systems. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Winston County Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance are required at the signing of the Contract. Drawings and Specifications may be examined at the office of the Architect and at TuscaBlue. Bid documents may be obtained from TuscaBlue upon deposit, refundable under certain conditions. Bid bonds must be issued by an acceptable bonding company licensed in the State, guaranteeing the bidder will not withdraw their bid for sixty days after the scheduled closing time and will enter into a formal contract if accepted. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding. The license number must be clearly displayed on the outside of the sealed envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. All bidders are invited to attend a non-mandatory pre-bid conference. Nonresident bidders must accompany their bids with a written opinion of an attorney licensed in their state of domicile regarding preferences granted by their state law to business entities in the letting of public contracts.
