Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
AMENDMENT/MODIFICATION NUMBER 0001 The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, hardware, equipment, supervision, safety measures, drawings, rigging, permits, labeling, commissioning, and site visits necessary to repair parking lots and roads at the St. Albans VA Medical Center in accordance with the Architect/Engineer 100% Issue for Construction documents. All work shall follow VA criteria and regulations, and the Contractor shall coordinate activities with the VA Contracting Officers Representative to minimize disruptions. The Contractor must prepare construction documents during the construction phase, verify all quantities and field conditions, test and verify all work for proper operation and compliance, and meet all OSHA, NFPA, Life Safety, and manufacturer requirements. Work must be performed by OSHA-certified personnel, with an English-speaking supervisor having at least five years of relevant supervisory experience present at all times. The Contractor shall protect patients, visitors, and staff; provide and install all electrical and piping connections using certified technicians; jointly perform lockout/tagout procedures with VA personnel; and guarantee all work for one year from completion, correcting defects within twenty-four hours of notification. The Contractor shall provide its own storage, repair any damage caused at no cost to the Government, maintain a clean work area, remove debris, and comply with VA Directive 0063, ensuring at least 50% of waste is prevented or recycled. Required privacy and information security training must be completed before work begins. All construction contractors and A/E firms shall utilize the VISN 2 Autodesk Build Construction Management Platform for all official project communication, including RFIs, submittals, schedules, shutdown requests, reports, testing, photos, and safety documentation. The Contractor shall request platform access within fourteen days of award, limit access to personnel who will use the system, complete required training within twelve calendar days of access, submit training certificates within two business days, and notify the COR of staff changes within two business days. Only correspondence submitted through the platform will be considered official, and no additional contract time or cost will be granted for failures to comply with this requirement.
