Remodeling of a playground / park / athletic field in McCook, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

As of December 05, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Sealed bids are requested for the repair and refinishing of the gymnasium floor. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the instructions to bidders during regular office hours. Instructions to Bidders and Specifications can be obtained at the Park District office. The McCook Park District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any requirements in the specifications This specification has been developed to insure the quality of work expected by the McCook Park District. Material manufacturers not listed should submit literature, physical samples and installation list of proposed product for review by the McCook Park District Superintendent. 1.2. SCOPE: Repair, sanding and refinishing of existing gymnasium floor, consisting of approximately 4,952 square feet, including basketball/volleyball/pickleball courts. Flooring contractor is responsible for establishing correct electrical supply for its equipment and for providing a dumpster to dispose of waste materials. Flooring contractor shall be a company with a minimum of three (3) years continuous experience in the athletic flooring field. A list of at least three completed projects of similar magnitude and complexity where this work has been performed shall be submitted all with submittals/proposals. For each completed project owner references including contact information of a person with direct knowledge of the work shall be included. The gymnasium floor project consists of tearing out and replacing 16' by 30' area of damaged maple wood flooring; repair all other warped boards; faceplate repair and replacement; sand and paint existing floor; sand up front edge to thresholds and base moldings; replace two entrance wood thresholds with aluminum thresholds; apply two coats of oil-modified urethane (OMU) sanding sealer; paint game lines for main basketball, volleyball, pickleball (2) cross basketball (2) and center court logo; apply three coats of oilmodified urethane (OMU) gym floor finish. The Contractor shall supply all labor, transportation, apparatus, scaffolding, any tools necessary for the completion of the work, maintain and remove temporary equipment, and construct in excellent and workmanlike manner the complete work and everything properly incidental thereto as stated in the Contract Documents to set forth in detail every item necessary for the construction of this project. Contractor must be qualified for this work and must, without direction, furnish and install everything necessary to provide construction complete and in acceptable order ready for use without additional work. All parts must be coordinated, complete, ready to operate and delivered to the Owner in new condition. Each Contractor shall coordinate his work with any and all other trades and Contractors on the site. His work shall be performed in a timely fashion to meet the project time schedule for all work
