Site work for a water / sewer project in Cairo, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Reconstruct failed sewer lines at junctions along 15th, 16th, and Cedar Streets; 24th Street and Holbrook Avenue; 31st Street and Washington Avenue; 12 Street west of MLK Jr. Avenue; 30th and Elm Streets; and 35th Street from Railroad to Elm Streets within the corporate limits of the City of Cairo in Alexander County. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. Not less than the Federal prevailing wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid. The project is subject to the requirements of Section 3, 24 CFR Part 75. The contractor must ensure nondiscrimination in employment. Bidders must not be excluded from participating in any federal assistance program. The City of Cairo reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities. Bids may be held for up to 90 days for review and qualification investigations prior to awarding the contract. Question Deadline 12/02/2025 Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in Writing to the Local Public Agency. Any inquir/ received seven or more days prior to the date fixed for opening the Bids will be given consideration
