A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Contractor should consult the general conditions, supplementary conditions, and general requirements regarding milestones and liquidated damages. Question Deadline 11/27/2025 Each request for clarification shall be submitted in writing, via email, to only the following persons: TO: Donald Ros ales, Director, Purchasing @drosales@pylusd.org Pre-bid clarification request shall be filed a minimum ofsix (6) days prior to bid opening. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. General Scope of Construction Work shall be as specified above and also shall include, but not be limited to, the following Provide video and photos ofsite conditions before commencing work. 2. Coordinate the work with the Maintenance and Facilities Departments. 3. Patch, repair, seal, and paint all surfaces and substrates affected by the work of this contract to match adjacent surfaces to achieve uniformity. 4. Perform tests, provide certifications and related reports necessary for the execution ofthe project. 5. Perform demolition and disposal ofall materials, surfaces and devices to be removed incidental to the execution and installation ofthe work in accordance with the contract documents. 6. Locate rebars with ground penetrating radar technology prior to the drilling or coring through concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls to avoid the cutting of reinforcing wall components. All costs associated with this service shall be borne by the contractor. Provide reports. 7. Execute the work as required to provide a complete and functional system installation in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. 8. Extend existing electrical devices flush with new finished surfaces and provide access panels for concealed utility valves in the walls to be covered. 9. Patching: New, unfinished surfaces created by the removal ofexisting materials and surfacesthat were damaged or disturbed by remodeling work, shall be patched with new materials and finished to match existing work and fire rating as much as required to provide a uniform and even appearance. Preserve and protect all existing work to remain. Repair all existing features affecting work to match adjoining parts or surfaces. All demolition work cut back to natural breaks where possible to facilitate continuity ofsurface planes and satisfactory bending ofsurfaces. 11. Clean the project site as required to keep the premises in an orderly and safe condition at all times. Provide daily clean-up to keep the campus free ofdirt, dust and debris. 12. Provide final cleanup for all interior and exterior project areas and surfaces. 13. Layout ofthe scope ofwork to ensure proper location and accuracy 15. Provide and maintain on-site, roll-offtrash bins forthe duration ofthe project. All costs for dumping, hauling and relocating on site are the responsibility ofthe Contractor. Maintain dumpsters so thattrash is notstockpiled on the sites. District -owned dumpsters shall not be used. 16. Prime and paint exposed conduit and piping to match surfaces of attachment. 17. Perform the relocation, removal, reinstallation and reconnection of electrical conduit, light fixtures, low voltage conduit or raceway, fire alarm conduit or raceway and respective devices, mechanical ductwork and terminals, and plumbing piping and devices required for the execution and completion ofthe work under this contract. 18. Provide fire-safmg at penetrations thru fire rated walls, floors and ceilings. 19. Provide temporary restroom facilities for the workers throughout the duration ofthe contract. 20. Contractor is to perform utility locating services using tracing and GPR prior to any trenching or excavation. DEMOLITION Contractor must coordinate all demolition work with repair work. 2. The Contractor shall dispose of all removed and/or demolished material, waste debris caused by the new work. 3. Removal of all debris shall be done carefully and not allow to fall and to impact existing structure work and/or finishes. Repair any damage after reporting and receiving instructions for remedial work. 4. Materials, equipment or constructions not noted in the construction documents, are a part ofthe work and if discovered during the course ofthe work shall be reported for instruction prior to removal or abandon in place. 5. In addition to demolition shown, cut, move, dismantle or salvage items necessary to provide access to allow repair work to proceed, Include such items as Repair or removal of hazardous or unsanitary conditions. B. Removal of abandoned items and items serving no useful purpose such as all abandoned piping, conduit and wiring. All adjacent work and constructions damaged due to demolition shall be repaired as part ofthe contract. 7. The Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all exposed existing structures at the work area from weather and other inclement conditions and from the installation of other work, any damage incurred due to failure by the Contractor to properly protect such work, shall be repaired at contractor's expense. 8. Fire safety during demolition and construction shall comply with CFC chapter 33 and CBC chapter 33. CONSTRUCTION Removing and properly disposing ofsoil, irrigation and concrete. Supply and installing new pavers, fencing, gates, and drainage as identified in the plans, specs and addendums. Project scope includes: Supply and installation ofnew pavers and fencing Removal and proper disposal soil for base and sand Capping irrigation lines and eliminating heads as required Supply and installation ofnew pavers Supply and installation of new fencing and gates The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class B License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder's proposal. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the Contract Documents as defined in the General Conditions. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall submit their own payroll records to the Labor Commissioner on the internet website of the Department of Industrial Relations and such payroll records shall be in an electronic format and manner prescribed by the Labor Commissioner. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract amount issued by a California admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, are required, and shall be provided to the Owner prior to execution of the Contract and shall be in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. It is each bidder's sole responsibility to ensure its bid is timely delivered and received at the location designated as specified above. Any bid received at the designated location after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids shall be returned to the bidder unopened.
