As of December 9, 2025 the project has been awarded. Sealed proposals are invited for work, materials, and improvements for City Project No. 25-051 El Paseo Sanitary Sewer Main Replacement, in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents on file at the City Engineer's office. Proposals must be complete and cover the entire scope unless otherwise specified in the specifications. Only contractors holding the required A-General Engineering Contractor license at the time of bid and through contract duration are eligible; failure to meet this requirement renders the bid non-responsive and disqualifies the bidder. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the City Engineer, in sealed envelopes marked with the bidder's name and address. Each bid must list the price for each item and the total contract price, though actual quantities may vary. Proposals cannot be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the opening. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive errors or informalities, and to act as the sole judge of the merits and qualifications. Contractors may opt to deposit securities in lieu of retention withheld from progress payments. The work consists, in general of: installing 1,150 lineal feet of new PVC sanitary sewer main pipe by open cut installation, new sanitary sewer service laterals by trenchless installation, abandoning the existing sewer main pipe in place, restoring the trenches, and other associated work. The work includes all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment and any incidentals needed to perform the improvements as shown on the contract plans.
