The project consists of asbestos-containing materials abatement for the following: Removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials including hard plaster, drywall, flooring, vermiculite, and vermiculite contaminated CMU block. The abatement project also includes the demolition of specified demolition areas as well as full building demolition of Unit E in its entirety, including but not limited to roofing, slab foundation, and walls. Instructions to bidders are as follows: A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Grand Rapids Public Schools in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price must accompany each bid, binding the bidder for a period of 60 days after receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least sixty (60) days thereafter.
