The selected architectural firm will provide architectural services to augment the City's Public Works staff in the planning, programming, and execution of City facility projects. These projects will be developed for the City of Champaign Police Station, six Fire Stations, City Building, Public Works Center, and other auxiliary facilities in the City's portfolio. The firm will aid in developing projects for facility expansion, upgrades of major facility components including MEP systems, building envelopes, parking lots, and maintenance and repair work required by building code and recommended by City staff and consultants. Additional responsibilities include cost estimating, long-term planning, renovation design and execution, major building component replacements, and other quick turnaround services. The architectural firm will support City staff in preparing project documents for bidding and, after the selection of contractors, will provide construction management activities to verify compliance with plans and specifications. Letters of Interest shall include firm information, relevant experience, available professional services, staff details, contact information, subconsultant information, a list of similar completed projects, compensation method agreement, workforce and diversity policies, details of assigned personnel, subconsultant arrangements, plans to meet workforce and MBE/WBE participation goals, and adherence to the Champaign Diversity Advancement Program. Letters are limited to ten pages and must be submitted electronically in PDF format. Selection is based on qualifications, and compensation for the selection or negotiation process is not provided.
