Renovation of a municipal facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Reference Number 0000306777 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the demolition, removal, relocation, and installation of architectural, structural, and electrical components to facilitate the installation of reception security walls at the City Hall Council Building, 510 Main Street. The Bidder shall perform the Contract in accordance with the construction drawings and specifications for this project. The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Demolition and removal of existing reception and security desks and gates. (b) Installation of new glass partitions and doors for reception security walls. (c) Fabrication and installation of millwork lockers. (d) Structural modifications, including installation of new HSS girts and diagonal bracing. (e) Ceiling modifications to integrate with new partitions and maintain existing finishes. (f) Electrical work for lighting, door access, and associated equipment, including relocation of devices and wiring. (g) Asbestos abatement works as required, carried out in accordance with the Environmental Consultant's report, findings, and recommendations (to be provided by addendum). (h) All work shall be scheduled and executed with heightened sensitivity to the operational and public nature of the City Hall building. (i) Coordination of work to minimize disruption to Council and Committee meetings, Mayoral functions, and building operations. (j) Compliance with noise and timing restrictions, including potential evening or weekend work.
