The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to supply labor, materials, equipment and supplies to repair approximately 100 feet of dike and 450 feet of revetment affected by recent flooding in the upper Susitna River basin. Work Description Supply labor, equipment, materials and supplies to perform the required work as shown on the plans and as defined in the specifications. Contractor is to provide resources to complete this project without any adjustments in the original bid amount or contract time. Schedule: Work shall commence following Notice to Proceed and upon direction from the Engineer. Work shall be performed in one continuous time period. Time is of the essence. Anticipated Notice to Proceed date is November 21, 2025. All work shall be completed on or before February 27, 2026. Request locates from Utilities having facilities in the area. Use Alaska Digline, Inc. Locate call center. Within Talkeetna (north of E Veterans Way), limit speed of construction vehicles to 20 miles per hour, or the posted speed limit, whichever is less. Complete work between 8 am and 7 pm daily or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. If needed, place and compact fill to provide dry, stable access along the Main Street and A Street right of way to access the project. Remove, store and reset existing boulders and wooden fence that interferes with revetment repair access. Provide temporary barriers and markers during construction to close public access into the work area. The Borough will provide right of entry to access the site and environmental permits required for placement of riprap. Estimated project cost is $750,000.
