The specifications reference the replacement and repairs of Whitesville Elementary School roof and associated metal work. Berkeley County School District (BCSD) is the fourth largest school district in the State of South Carolina. The District covers a geographic area of 1,229 square miles. It is one of the fastest growing counties in the state, in terms of population, and is located just north of Charleston, South Carolina. BCSD currently serves a student population of over 40,000 students ranging from pre-school to high school. The District currently operates 47 schools (24 elementary/intermediate schools, 11 middle schools, 9 high schools, 2 K-8, and 1 alternative). In addition to these schools, the District operates other specialized learning centers and has multiple administrative and support facilities located throughout Berkeley County. In addition, construction of 3 schools to be completed within 1 years.
