Site work for a water / sewer project in Cameron, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
This project will include a connection to the Town of Cameron water main distribution system. The base bid will include 5,278 LF of water main piping with five additional alternatives, each measuring 500 LF of water main piping. The proposed work will extend fire services to additional customers within Calhoun County. *The value for this project is based on a financial range $2.4 million - $3.1 million. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This project is for the furnishing and installing a new 12-inch ductile iron water main and appurtenances. The Work consists of the following: A. Base Bid: 1. Mobilizationa. Provide all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals related to mobilizing personnel and equipment to the project site. This includes but is not limited to any local permits, licenses, fees, insurance, bonds, equipment mobilization to the project site, temporary facilities required for start-up, and project signs. b. Acquire any access rights necessary for construction outside of those shown on the Construction Drawings. 2. Erosion and Sedimentation Control a. Provide all materials, labor, erosion and sedimentation control devices, temporary controls, and all related work and appurtenances. 3. Clearing and Grubbing a. Clear and remove existing trees vegetation within the limits of disturbance as necessary to install the work. 4. Boring and Jacking 24-Inch Casing a. Provide all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to install the 24-inch steel casing pipe as shown on the Construction Drawings. 5. 12-Inch Ductile Iron Water Main a. Provide all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to install approximately 5,300 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main, including but not limited to excavation, bedding, backfill, accessories and fittings as shown on the Construction Drawings. 6. Fire Hydrant Assembly a. Provide all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to install five fire hydrants as shown on the Construction Drawings, including but not limited to 6" gate valve and piping to the 12-inch water main. 7. 12-Inch Gate Valves a. Provide all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to install five 12-inch gate valves as shown on the construction drawings, including but not limited to valve markers, valve boxes, and other required accessories. 8. Air Release Valve Assembly and Manhole a. Provide all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to install two air release valves and manholes at the locations shown on the Construction Drawings. This includes but it not limited to the precast structure, air valve, tapping sleeve, and other accessories and appurtenances. 9. Site Restoration and Seeding a. Provide all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to restore the site to a condition equal to or better than the original condition. This includes but is not limited to fine grading after pipe installation, placement of temporary paving surfaces at driveways, and temporary and permanent seeding as required by permits. On request, the Engineer of Record will coordinate site visits. Please allow a minimum of seventy-two (72) hours to schedule a site visit. Requests must be made a minimum of seven (7) business days prior to opening of Bids. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. To receive consideration, questions must be received by Engineer by November 28, 2025, at 5:00 P.M. (local time), prior to the date for the opening of Bids. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents for receipt not later than three (3) business days prior to the date for the opening of Bids. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
