FY 2025 Water Main Improvements. Bids must comply and be submitted in accordance with the project technical specifications which may be obtained at the office of the Utilities Director, 1102 S. Amelia Avenue, DeLand, Florida, any time prior to the bid opening. Questions shall be directed to the office of the Purchasing Coordinator at purchasing@deland.org. Substantial Completion is 330 days , final payment is 360 from the Notice to Proceed date established by the OWNER. The work consists of the installation new potable water mains, including approximately 1,201 linear feet of 12i, 3,515 linear feet of 8i HDPE, 6,895 linear feet of 6i HDPE, all installed by horizontal direction drilling; 115 linear feet of 12i PVC, 323 linear feet of 8i PVC, 516 linear feet of 6i PVC, 648 linear feet of 2i HDPE, all installed by open cut; valves, wet tap and dry connections to existing mains, cut-ins, and fire hydrant assemblies; service pipe and casing; connection to existing meters; pavement repair and replacement; surface restoration and appurtenances. The Specification Divisions and Drawings are an integrated part of the Contract Documents and as such will not stand alone if used independently as individual Sections, Divisions or Drawings sheets. The Specifications and Drawings establish minimum standards of quality for this project. They do not purport to cover all details entering into the design and construction of materials or equipment. The CONTRACTOR is advised that the equipment arrangements as shown on the drawings may vary with different manufacturers and the CONTRACTOR is responsible at no cost to the OWNER for making the changes necessary to accommodate the specific equipment installed. Omission of a specific item or component part of a system obviously necessary for the proper functioning of the system shall not relieve the CONTRACTOR of the responsibility of furnishing the item as part of the work at no additional cost to the OWNER.
