Sealed Bid Packets are invited for Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Collection Service. Bid Packets must be completed as designated in the Contract Documents and enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the Project. Each Bid Packet must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from an authorized surety company and either a Bid Bond or Certified Check for at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful Bidder must provide Performance and Payment Bonds covering the full project amount. Compliance with all statutory requirements outlined in the Contract Documents and Plans is mandatory. The Borough of Matawan intends to award this to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, but reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Packets as permitted by law. The awarded Bidder shall comply with requirements including N.J.A.C. 17:27, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., Business Registration, Prevailing Wage Act, Public Work Contractor Registration, Affirmative Action Requirements, and other legal obligations applicable to the Project. Bids are irrevocable for sixty calendar days after opening unless extended per Contract Documents.
